Five things account for most of the spread between one bathroom quote and another:
- Tile scope — often a quarter to a third of a bathroom budget once you count the shower walls, floor, and any feature work. It's labour-heavy, and it's where "how much tile" quietly moves the total.
- Plumbing relocations — moving fixtures costs, and the toilet is the expensive one to move because the drain and the floor joists decide what's possible. Keeping fixtures where they are saves real money.
